Terms of Service

Effective July 6, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TesBeHonest iOS application and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Jordan Goodwin (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. What the Service is

TesBeHonest is a companion app for Tesla vehicles. It connects to your Tesla account, reads telemetry from your vehicle, and produces range estimates, notifications, widgets, Live Activities, and trip history — including estimated energy use and estimated cost based on an electricity rate you provide.

2. Your Tesla account

The Service requires you to authenticate with your own Tesla account. You represent that you are authorized to access the vehicle(s) you connect. Authentication tokens and vehicle telemetry are processed to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never receive or store your Tesla password.

Tesla may change or restrict its APIs at any time. If that happens, parts of the Service may degrade or stop working, and we are not liable for that interruption.

3. Subscription, trial, and billing

• The Service is offered as an auto-renewing subscription of US $2.99 per month (or the local equivalent shown in the App Store at purchase), billed through your Apple ID.
• New subscribers receive a one-week free trial. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged.
• The subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms; we can’t issue them directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the Service; not to use it to violate any law or any agreement you have with Tesla; and not to attempt to access other users’ data. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or its infrastructure.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Jordan Goodwin. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.

6. Not affiliated with Tesla

TesBeHonest is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. TESLA, MODEL S, and related marks are trademarks of Tesla, Inc., used here only to describe compatibility.

7. Disclaimer of warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING STRANDED VEHICLES, TOWING COSTS, MISSED APPOINTMENTS, OR LOST DATA — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account in-app at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service (or your access to it) for breach of these Terms or if we discontinue the product; if we discontinue it, active paid periods will run their course or be handled per App Store policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted at this URL with a new effective date, and continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
